Maya Dance Theatre Workshop

Contemporary Dance Company, Maya Dance Theatre from Singapore, will present a dance-movement workshop.

Known for its intercultural and multi-dimensional works, Maya Dance Theatre will engage participants in understanding traditional Indian Dance Bharathanaytam and Contemporary dance created from Asian dance movement vocabulary.

The workshop will be facilitated by Maya Dance Theatre’s artistic director, Kavitha Krishnan with the dancers – Shahrin Johry, Bernice Lee, Eva Tey and Phitthaya Phaefuang-Sun ( project artist from Norway/Thailand). Maya Dance Theatre has recently performed in New York City for the Singapore Arts Festival: Something to Write Home About and in George Town Festival (Penang, Malaysia.

The performance and workshop by Maya Dance Theatre is supported by National Arts Council, Singapore, Apsara Asia and Singai Tamil Sangam (STS).
